Athlete’s Foot

Athlete’s foot (tinea pedis) is a common fungal skin infection that loves warm, moist areas like between your toes. It spreads easily in damp places such as pools, showers, or sweaty shoes and socks, causing itching and irritation that can spread if ignored.

Common symptoms of athlete’s foot include:

At Doncaster Foot Clinic, we treat athlete’s foot with accurate diagnosis through a thorough foot examination (ruling out eczema, psoriasis or other issues). We prescribe proven antifungal creams, sprays or ointments, often combined with gentle debridement to remove flaky skin and speed healing. For prevention, we give simple personalised advice: dry feet thoroughly (especially between toes), wear breathable socks and shoes, alternate footwear, use antifungal powders, and avoid barefoot walking in damp public areas.

Persistent itch? Get in touch – we’ll clear it up and help stop it returning for good!
