It has been a busy, busy summer so far for team Doncaster Foot Clinic. So here is a brief overview on some new developments!
A Day at Bramall Lane
Towards the end of May, three members of the team (Jamie, Emma & Clayton) attended Bramall Lane, home of Sheffield United, for a Shockwave & Laser Therapy Training Day hosted by EMS-DOLORCLAST. It was incredibly insightful and it was valuable to learn more about radial and Focused Shockwave Therapy Modalities.
Radial and Focused Shockwave Therapy
At Doncaster Foot Clinic, we have been using Radial shockwave therapy machine in our clinic since October 2022. This effectively treats tendinopathies, plantar fasciopathies and other chronic MSK ailments that we see in clinic on a daily basis. Moving forward, we will be trialling Focused shockwave therapy machine for one month – highlighting our commitment to introducing gold standard podiatry treatments to the community of Doncaster.
100 Club
In June, Jamie & Emma attended The Eco Power Stadium in Doncaster, and were invited to dine at the Jibba Jabba Restaurant alongside other big businesses in Doncaster. This is a part of us recently joining the 100Club. This is a group of currently 107 local and national businesses that are in partnership with Rovers.
This means you’ll be seeing some of our advertising during matches this season, and we’ll be running competitions on our Facebook & Instagram to give away tickets for the Rovers, Belles & Dons games! This is an exciting season for Doncaster Rovers, back in League One, and we are fully behind Grant McCann and the lads! Up the Rovers!
New Clinic – New Technology
As you’ll hopefully be aware by now, we have opened a second clinic space in Heather Court on the 14th of July! With new clinic, brings new technology! This has now been delivered to clinic and our team have been able to test it out for themselves!
Firstly, we have a new Pressure Plate Analysis System! We can use this to gain insights into biomechanics and gait patterns. This will help us identify areas of high pressure, potential imbalances, and asymmetries in foot function, which can be crucial for diagnosing and treating various conditions.
We’re also going to be the first UK Podiatry Clinic to have a Podiatech Premium Station! This technology will allow us to analyse your feet, so we can mould and create custom insoles – to your exact specifications & needs!
